Coffee date // (& prayers)
So this morning I have a coffee date with my sister, Erin.
She was down for Christmas then she had to go back to Fayetteville for some RA stuff for a few days, but she came back down on Wednesday. Since she’s been back she’s really wanted to get together with me for a coffee date. Wednesday it was late and I was at Trey’s, Thursday morning I was busy then I worked all day, Friday I got up at 6:30am and seriously didn’t stop moving until 9:15pm (crazy busy day!). Today I work 10am-7pm, so I figure I can fit her in this morning before work. This works out perfectly since I believe she leaves later today.I’m just hoping this goes well. Usually a coffee date with her means me having to pay for her coffee too and then her lecturing me/ trying to give me life advice.Last year was in late November/early December and she started fussing out me for having gotten engaged. It pissed me off because I didn’t want to hear it, I’d just paid for her coffee, and I’d just recently had surgery on my nose (for a deviated septum) and I couldn’t storm out and walk home. So yeah, fingers crossed this is all pleasant and she pays for herself lol.P.S. I have a very stressful and semi-suspenseful situation. I’m praying things will go my way. It can go one way or the other and how it goes will affect my future. I don’t want to go into details right now, but if I could get everyone to pray or send good thoughts my way, I’d really appreciate it.

Spend more time with your sister, because you will miss those moments later on when both of you will have your own family.
People are more transicent and more busy (with what?), leaving less time with friends and family.
You’re only 19 and you barely have time for your sister and only have time for a coffee date. In a few years, it will just be an email or text.
Cherish these moments together when life is less complicated. Life will only get more complicated.
@sf2slc - I will definitely try. One thing is she is usually always the busy one. Up until college she did 20 or more hours of gymnastics a week, worked, and did school always. Then she went to Fayetteville (four hours away) and is hardly ever home. She is also an RA so stuff like that requires her spend more time up there and less down here (I actually did visit her for a few days up there this summer.)
So it usually ends up that she isn’t down here much. And this week that she has been works been crazy. We’re doing inventory today so we’ve been preparing for that. We also lost electricity on Christmas and were closed the next two days. This and the roads being icy delayed two delivery trucks, so Friday we got a HUGE shipment in (three trucks worth). The last two weeks I’ve been scheduled forty hour work weeks (of course, last week it didn’t turn out that much because of the days we were closed). Oh, and I went to Trey’s family on Christmas and got stranded at his house until Thursday… that happened to be the day Erin left for the RA stuff and didn’t get back until this Wednesday evening. So things have just been chaotic with scheduling this break lol. If she comes down for spring break (last year she did a mission trip over it) I’ll try to schedule some sister time.
