Two weeks til
Trey leaves for Germany in exactly two weeks. He’ll be there for a month studying abroad. It’s required for him to complete his German major. He’ll have two classes to take while he’s there. He had to take a test (skype with a German who judged his speaking abilities) to figure out what group he’d be in. A1 is very beginner, A2 beginner but better, B1 is advance, B2 is even more advanced, C1 is expert, and C2 is even more expert lol. He tested into C1.
I’m going to miss the fuck out of him. He sold his laptop and got a desk top (super gamer desk top.. it’s a beast), so it’s not like he can bring that with him. I got him a tablet for Christmas which he installed skype on, so hopefully he can skype and email me. He most likely won’t have cell service… it’s just gonna be a long and depressing month for me. I’m happy for him and he’s excited.. I just know it’s gonna really suck for me :/

I am sorry you will feel so lonely. My wife and I had many short term separations–the longest was 3 months.
I wish you well.

his German must be really good. What prompt him to be a german major?
As for cell, europe has better cell coverage than we do. He just need to bring an unlock GSM (AT&T, Tmobile) phone to Europe and get a local sim card / number. And you can buy a phone card to call Germany for cheap.I do the above activity whenever i travel oversea. What tablet did you get him?Why did he have to sell his stuff? When is he graduating? Time to go running.bye
@sf2slc - He has German heritage. I believe one of his sets of grandparents actually moved here from there. I mentioned the cell phone thing to him. He said he’ll look into it. The tablet is like a polaroid 7in I think? He chose to sell it so he could upgrade. He’s a big gamer nerd and apparently his new desktop can run games alot better than his alienwear laptop could. He’ll be finished with his major after summer but he still has to square away his minor and he’s going to double major and as of now it’s looking like PA (physician assistant) so it’ll be a little bit. Hope you enjoyed you run
@mypandabear - he’s a serious gamer. What do you do when he’s gaming? You don’t sound like a gamer. Do you still do a lot of stretching and running? You’re always an active kind of person. I hope you don’t lose your flexibility. PA is a great field to go into.
@HUMOR_ME_NOW - Thanks! <3 It’s going to suck and I know I’m going to miss him a lot, but I’m going to do my best to keep myself busy (hopefully work a lot more hours that month).
