All right...
I'm at work, it's just a little after 4:30pm. Brandon, Trey, and Syril are all at the hostess stand talking about hitting it.
Kelsey walks in and puts her bag up and goes to clock in. All three of them walk up, then Alex walks up.
I tell him to stay up here for a second, as I go to look for a manager. I come across David and James talking with each other. [James is managing for Dan today.] I ask if Dan told them about eighty-six and David says yes. I tell them I think it's eighty-six right now, thus they walk outside.
I went to the window to watch. The three guys were all standing behind Trey's truck with their work shirts off. I presume this is to eliminate the amount of odar they bring back with them. The two managers head toward them and they duck down. Once they realize that they've been spotted, they begin stomping out their blunts and trying to act casual. David and James talk with them for a minute, then all of them all walk back in.
Later they were talking about it, and apparently they didn't find the weed and they had just told the managers they were just chilling before we opened.
Through out the night they keep talking about wanting to go out there to get some more, but never do. James moves around a lot so they're afraid he'll notice their absense and go looking for them.
9:30pm... Brandon and Trey finally decide to sneak off again. Syril's back in the dining room bussing tables, so they go without him. After they walk out the door, Kesley had to show someone back to a party. Immediately, I pick up the walkie talkie and say eighty-six... eighty-six. I get two short fuzzy responses, but I have no idea what they are. I assume they were both 'okays'.
I never see a manager walk out the door. Yet, about 15-20 minutes later all three managers walk in together. However, neither Trey nor Brandon ever do. Kelsey and I begin to wonder about them. I walk out to see if I can spot them, but they're no where to be found... Trey's truck is gone too.
2+2=4
A little bit later, I walk back to make a new map and see Syril. I ask if he's seen Trey or Brandon in a while and he says they're gone. I asked if he meant they were gone for the night or forever. He said probably forever. [I knew this already, but by playing dumb I get the most information possible.]
Ricky was down by the hostess stand about 10pm and I asked if I would now be second host cut, and he said technically I'd still be first... I'd just be first cut a bit later. He went on to talk to me and Kelsey about it vaguely. He said when people do stuff they know they shouldn't be doing, they begin to get more comfortable with it over time.. and that's when they slip up. And when you begin to get more comfortable you think no one knows, but usually someone really does.. they're just waiting for them to get too comfortable doing that thing, then they bust them.
I feel sad and a little bad about it. Regardless, they no longer work there anymore.
{P.S. I apologize for the style of this post... It's kind of choppy, but it was this easiest way for me to get this out without it being really long.}
